SoundCloud is an artist-first platform that empowers artists and fans to connect and share through music.

The UX copy of the SoundCloud website needs to speak to this audience and best showcase its tools and massive catalogue of over 375 million tracks in a way that artists and fans gravitate to and can accessibly navigate through.

Therefore, through this spec project I audited and re-wrote the current UX writing for the SoundCloud web experience.

First, I did desk research to understand SoundCloud’s goals, brand voice and audience, competitor analysis to see the differences between SoundCloud from other music platforms, BandCamp and Spotify, and then conversation mining to see users’ pain points.
